In a few years I have learned a lot about the art of Chinese calligraphy. Partly by my professor, partly by self-study. The most important thing is that the interest remains and you want to (continue to) discover more. For example, I discovered that my brush could do more than just writing characters on paper, namely making sumi-e paintings. So I started to experiment with colour as you can see below.
Enjoy!

Thousands of years ago this script was written and preserved by many so that today it may serve as an example for others.

Start experimenting with the glossy black ink and the flexibility of the brush. What is the effect if you add more water to the ink? Come and see.

The same movements as with the sumi-e but with colours. Moving the hand freely shows what the eye wants to see.
